A Night to Remember

On a sang-froid pass night, with the moon, expert orange tree and so close it felt as though I could touch it. I had been celebrating my 18th birth mean solar day with my friends just hours before. This was the day I became an adult. A gaiety day, which I was going to call for my entire life as the day I became a man. It is not the celebration I remember though. It is what happened that night that forever and a day changed me into the soulfulness I am today. August 12, 2004, I was cleaning up the trash from my birthday party. When, same the sound of an undesired disheartenment clock on a Monday morning, I allow on my fire department pager screaming its alert. This was it, my first official call on the fire department. Like a kid on Christmas morning I was so excited. I speed up to my car and drove as fast as I could to the fire house. Only one person beat me to the station. It was my Captain. An antediluvian patriarch man, he had been in the fire service for nearly 40 years. I did not know it at the time, but his fierceness and knowledge is what would help me through one of the most finespun experiences of my life. As I rushed into the station and towards the rescue group he was sitting in the drivers skunk ready to go.
